Tianyu Zhao, Ph.D., DABR, is an associate professor of radiation oncology at Washington University in St. Louis, where he is the chief physicist of proton radiotherapy. Dr. Zhao has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and 2 book chapters.

He is endeavoring to translate technology to clinical application with broad interest, from optimization of clinical practice, quality assurance, and workflow efficiency to technology innovations and entrepreneurship.

He is passionate about reviving the radiotherapy program in low- and middle-income countries to bridge the gap in global health disparities.
